‘Wonderful World’ and ‘When You’re Smiling’ we’re filmed when David performed during the long COVID lockdown to brighten the spirits of a large, socially distanced crowd in his home town. One of the videos later appeared on BBC News at Ten.
The two videos of ‘Wonderful World’ and ‘When You’re Smiling’ were taken from an 80 minute performance. It’s not possible to see from the videos, but when David began to sing there was no one in the street, however his voice sounded out across the area and by the end of the concert a large, socially distanced crowd had gathered. David’s was the only live music performance given in the area during Covid, hence it’s inclusion on national TV news.

David was invited to entertain the crowds on the main stage of the Stratford-upon-Avon Christmas lights turn on 18th November 2023.
